James Cook Boys Technology High School
James Cook Boys Technology High School has small class sizes and encourages student contact with teachers and support staff. The school is committed to providing quality education through a wide range of academic, sporting, and welfare programs. In 2001, the school was awarded the Director-General of Education School Achievement Award for Excellence in Boys’ Education. School programs seek to provide a learning environment that encourages success and supports students from all different cultural and socio-economic backgrounds to help them achieve their best. In 2002, the school was praised by The Australian newspaper as one of the top 10 schools in Australia for its student welfare program. Higher School Certificate results have been outstanding and several of our students were listed in the honours pages for the 2002 HSC.
English as a Second Language (ESL) Programs

HSC Results and Year 12 University/ TAFE Placement In 2003:
- James Cook Boys Technology High School, along with Moorefield Girls High School, were the top performing comprehensive schools in the St George area for the HSC.
- 80% of students gained offers to university or TAFE.
- 95% of Year 12 students were either employed or entered further education institutions at the end of the year.
- Overseas students performed extremely well at the HSC.

- It is close to a major shopping centre, Botany Bay, and the international airport.
James Cook Boys Technology HighSchool was one of the leading boys’schools for results for the HSC inextension mathematics with 25% ofstudents scoring in the top percentile.
